Local 189 has been proudly serving Central Ohio since it was chartered in 1899, and the local celebrated its 125th Anniversary with a Dinner/Dance Gala on October 5, 2024, and the production of a special Local 189 125-Year History Program Book by UNION HISTORIES. The book was gifted to attendees of the event and the local's members and retirees.
UNION HISTORIES performed research, examined the local's records and interviewed many of its retirees to put together the Local 189 History and Book at NO COST to the local, as UNION HISTORIES sold sponsorships and advertisements for the event and book -- and shared the revenue with the local!
