Sheet Metal Workers Local 45, an affiliate of the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART) that has been Central Iowa’s premier source for highly productive sheet-metal workers since the local was chartered on November 14, 1922, celebrated that 100-Year milestone on December 3, 2022, during its annual Family Christmas Party.

As part of the celebration, UNION HISTORIES produced a 100th-Anniversary History Book that tells Local 45's important story, which was distributed to all of the local's members. The book was prodcued at NO COST to the local, as UNION HISTORIES sold sponsorships and ads for the book -- which also paid for printing!
