International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 463 served one of the world’s most iconic regions -- Niagara Falls, U.S.A. -- from the time is was chartered on June 1, 1911, until it was merged on May 1, 2019, into Buffalo-based Local No. 17. The members of Local 463 even built the Niagara Power Plant and the Niagara Falls Observation Tower, among its many contributions!

In honor of all past members, living and deceased, of the former Local 463 and the local’s retirees, Local 17 commissioned Union Histories to create a special Operating Engineers Local 463 History Book that chronicles and preserves the important story of the local and its significance to the industry and its community.

Union Histories provided our services at NO COST to the local as we solicited Sponsorships and Advertisements for the History Book on behalf of Local 463, which also paid for printing of the books!
